So my best friend is still single and therefore cooks for himself often. More so the I, my wife kicks me out often. I still control the grill, i peed in that corner and claimed it as my own
So i thought for his B Day i would make him a hand made cutting board. I want to find the wood myself and have done some research.
I know i want to get a Hardwood for durability, and we have Oak here in Florida. But i found out that Oak is to open grained and its better to get a closed grain wood such as maple or birch. Uhm, hello its florida... so am i screwed or can you guys think of a good hardwood to try and locate here in Central Florida.
Kind of want to make it a "from scratch" project. That and some of my knives feel left out and are crying to be used
