I know, I know, I open a thread and then close it before anyone can reply. It isn't that I don't want feedback. I do want feedback, and I want it for the ABBREV.'s used on BladeForums especially.
OAL? (overall length); ATS34 (steel); RC (Rockwell hardness scale C); POB (point of balance). There are a lot more that are used that newbies don't know. This ought to be a BF wide effort. And I'm opening this to be the BFwide post to submit your suggestions to.
Mike, Spark, other moderators - feel free to move this to a more appropriate place if you know of one. Now that this is open, I'm going back to the closed thread, reopening it long enogh to tell people to come this thread to submit suggestions, and relocking it. I have a feeling that before the day is over I'm going to be going around muttering under my breath: "Will no-one rid me of this troublesome thread?" ( with apologies to King Henry the VIII and Sir Thomas Moore - or whomever they were in the movie "A Man for all Seasons" ).
AAAARGH! OK, I went back, unlocked the other thread, relocked it, had a day to think it over and decided to reopen it and delegate the decision to Uncle Bill when he gets back.
The monkey's off my back now. Rusty 2/11/2000
