Hello everybody!
We have on another forum this is normal. I did not think that this is bad here.

Hello everybody!

This is my job of replacing the blade with a paramilitary replica. The customer asked to put the blade from Elmax high-quality heat treatment.
Hardness of steel 62 HRC
The blade was enlarged by 2 millimeters in width
Guys will appreciate the work!

So you put a custom blade on a counterfeit body? Is that what you are saying? We don't support counterfeiting here. It is extremely disappointing if a service provider would do such a thing.

I thought he meant that he put a custom Elmax blade on a genuine PM2 body.
What he has pictured is a military counterfeit body (you can tell by the lock bar and scales) with a different blade, I'm assuming the elmax one he mentions.

Looks like crap. I'm a much bigger fan of genuine PM2s.

OP you may want get the model correct first. The knife you posted looks nothing like a Paramilitary ;)

Yea we don't like clones. Custom blade or not. Plus why make it thicker blade? Thinner behind the edge is always better for slicing.

All sorts of wrong your customer has done here.

English or not. The community here is avid against clones. It's even in the rules.

Guys take a breath for a second,I don’t think English is his first language.
Very true. That is why I asked him to clarify because the way he has it worded it looks like he put a new blade on a counterfeit body. Hopefully he will come by and clear this up. Unfortunately, that military has the tell tale sign of a fake. The lock bar will be more shinny if c0ounterfeit. The real ones have a more subdued bead blasted look. Also, those scales look off.

I'd suggest you read the rules you agreed to follow when you signed up, particularly this part:

"Fakes/Homages-
As fakes and homage items are a legal gray area and obviously hurt the hobby, no fake or homage items may be sold on the Exchange. Members may not knowingly sell unlicensed knockoffs or counterfeit versions of knives (or any other goods) based upon the designs of their legitimate owner, manufacturer or custom maker. Additionally, members may not sell any knife or item known or suspected to be other than as described in terms of its lineage and authenticity."

I would think this is very important for one of our service providers to understand.

That's not a Paramilitary. It's a Military. It looks like he just took the blade to a belt sander and sanded off all the logos and stuff. Look at how the jimping in the choil has been smoothed over.

Who knows, but at the end of the day it is a counterfeit. Sad that a service provider doesn't know how bad counterfeits hurt his very on industry.
