Your inquiry would get more attention in the Busse subforum… if you wanted to ask a mod to move your thread.

I’m not familiar with your etch.
The only markings on the spine I’ve seen are from the mid-late 90’s. It was the BUSSE logo, located at the center of handle, on the spine.

Hi everyone,

This is my first time owning a Busse Team Gemini, so I’m still learning about all the variations.
I recently picked up a TG that has something unusual on the tang, and I’m hoping someone here can help me understand what it is.

On the spine, there’s an alphanumeric code “HCD10424” cleanly etched into the metal.

Since this is my first TG, I don’t have a good reference point, so I’m hoping the community can help answer a few questions:
  1. Has anyone ever seen a Team Gemini with a code like “HCDxxxxx” on the tang?
  2. Could this be from some kind of special run, agency/military batch, or dealer-specific order?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for helping a newcomer understand what I’ve got!

That's awesome sauce right there.

“P.S. I actually received this Team Gemini as a gift from a friend who truly loves Busse knives, and I really love this knife.“

That’s a really good friend! 🍻

I can’t help on the code, but here’s info from a 2019 release.

Moving this thread to the Busse Forum.

Merged.

If you need a thread moved, report the opening post in the thread. ("report" button is at bottom left of each post.) That produces a popup. Ask to have the thread moved. The next time a mod is online the report will be addressed.
Thank you!

Have you asked the seller?
I've been around Busse knives for 20yrs- never received a knife with anything lasered there on the handle. It is not a run designation. It is most likely a customer request that Busse agreed to do.
