Closing the vesuvius

The compression lock is a bit hard to close one handed.
Any suggestions?
Fortunately the Vesuvius have unsharpened areas that I could just let it drop, but if it was sharp, how would you close it?

You can close the Vesuvius by "pinching" the lock bar between your
thumb and index finger (keeping your other fingers out of the way).
Give a little downward flick and the blade should swing closed. With
a little practice, you can close the knife quickly this way.
