I've got a couple satin blades with light rub marks I'd like to take care of myself. I know I could send them in, but they're so busy at the shop I'd rather do it myself than cut into the production of the Butaniku :D I know worrying about rub marks is a cardinal sin in our community, but my OCD gets the best of me...

Right now I have microfiber cloths, red shop rags and maroon rouge that simply says "Dremel" on it. I used to use Flitz, but I'm all out at the moment and I'm wondering if there is anything better.

What do you guys use?

Some use Mother's. I've never tried it before though. Flitz also works, and is less abrasive than semichrome and works better on blades IMO.

I forget what it actually is (probably a microfiber cloth). It's tan, kind of stiff, probably has some kind of abrasive in it. Works great for cleaning the cylinder face of a revolver and works on knives too.

Silicone impregnated?

Not sure about infi but I use turtle wax rubbing compound on 5160 steel, works pretty well. Have some laying around for my car so win-win situation, come summer I'll try the clay bar and wax too while I'm working on the car.

You can always remove the fine little rub marks by chopping firewood. After about a cord or so you don't see those fine little rub marks and your knife now has character.

On a serious note, Flitz is good stuff.
