This morning I found myself wondering which knife to carry I figured that I would take my 0200 because i had my pants on which would conceal its size and scary-ness to the anti-pointthingy-people as I put the knife In my pocket I began to Think how my choice of clothing affects my decision in which knife to carry for example when I wear shorts ill take my little (by my standards) kershaw scamp and I started to wonder if anyone else chooses what they carry by what they are wearing

I always wear jeans out of the house, so the options are limitless
I usually go with the 0200 or the Spec Bump. those 2 are my favorites.

I do but whenever I change attire its based on what's going to be done for the day ie, I wear jeans all year long except when I'm hiking so normally any knife goes but if im hiking ill take out whatever I'm carrying for something more like my Ontario rat 1 and OD-2

See, I am the opposite.. I wear what will suit what I want to carry!

I choose more based on where I'm going and what I will/might end up doing - but most of the time I just have a Victorinox Camper stuffed in a front pocket or coat/jacket pocket. If I do a quick run to the store with some basketball shorts or work out pants that don't have good pockets I just clip a knife to the waistband.

Absolutely. It helps to justify my need for so many knives.

Me too. If I have to wear a certain type of pants either for work or for a specific situation, then when I wear cargos I carry anything I want, but when I have to wear suit pants which in my case require a smaller blade I usually carry a Vapor, Whirlwind, or other low profile, EDC type.
When I carry whatever I want it is often one of these:
BM 710
BM 581
ZT 0200
CRKT Crawford Kasper Pro
CS TiLite

Not all at once though :)

Omigosh, TOTALLY. I never carry my bright-orange manix 2 when it would like, totally clash with my top. That's just like, totally ick. Most of my knives are black and y'know black like goes with everything, which is totally faaaabulous! I like hardly ever carry my Leek where people can see it because all that stainless steel is just, like, totally tacky, y'know? Plus it totally clashes with my purse.

The weather, job, and the locations I know I will be at often dictate the knife, and where I carry that knife. I like wearing a fixed blade in leather on my belt, most of the time. Outside mowing, weedeating, getting dirty, I'll choose a cheaper knife in kydex. Backpacking, hiking, shooting, airsoft(near future), also changes where I carry.
I have two sheaths for some knives, a kydex and a leather. Last backpacking trip, I had the kydex on the shoulder strap of my backpack, and could then put the knife in the leather on my belt once at camp. No sheath will fit under my waistbelt when backpacking, but I still want it in reach.

Now you know match your shoes, belt, watch, and knife...just silly not to

Some of my lightweight synthetic cargo pants and some of my shorts have front pockets that face more forward so that the pocket clip on my knives are WAY more visible. I love the spyderco wire clips for these occasions, much less noticeable. So, yes, what I wear dictates what I carry.

Whatever I need to wear for the day determines the knife I carry. Most the times my jeans work for most anything I have. If I am at work, ABU's can pack just about any folder I want.

To Dorito Monk, don't be hatin my knife'n style.;)

This is a funny subject because I wondered if I was alone. I have jeans as well as some "Docker" style jean-cut pants and some of them have thicker pocket rims than others and some have the pocket rim ripped away. This makes knives like a Sebenze slip out of the pocket much easier so I tend to carry knives with G10/Micarta handles due to the increased friction. If the pocket rims are thick and aren't worn out, I'll carry my Sebenza's.
