Here's a few pics of the whole gang. Sorry for the shadows, I was trying to catch the last of the daylight.

Apparently there's a dog in my family as well. Can't believe I missed the hair on the RC-4. That stuff gets EVERYWHERE!

Thanks for all the kind remarks! I'm a little embarrassed that all my knives are so 'new' looking. But with the weather getting nicer by the day hopefully I can put an end to that!

s500, yes I had my RC-4 convexed by Bark River. It is definitely insanely sharp :) It was my first RAT knife and I was on a convex kick so I had it done. I love it but I think I will leave the rest of my RATs just the way they are.

unit311, the black handled RC-4's come with the green liners only. The orange and tan handled RC-4's have no liners.

Will someone explain the RC4 with the convexed edge?

I can tell it's nekkid, but I'm not following what was actually done.

Thanks in advance.

My RC-4 has a full convex grind. On a normal RAT knife with a flat grind, the sides of the blade go straight down from the spine and then there is a 'V' shaped edge. The convex grind gently slopes downward from the spine to the edge. So there are no angles involved. That is a terrible explanation but this page explains it much better http://www.kosterknives.com/convexedge.htm
