This is a design that I've been working on since 2012. Many, many revisions in both plastic and cardboard have been made since then. Late last year I finalized what I felt to be the optimal design in CAD and had a friend at the local machine shop waterjet a blank.
I don't grind, but Charlie Mike does, and I have worked with him in the past, and can certainly say that his stuff is top-notch, and he's a lot of fun to work with. I've worked with a few other makers over the past decade and his communication is the best I've experienced.
So here we have it:
.18" thick 80crV2 at 59 HRC, 4.5" blade length. Scales made of vintage rosewood 1911 grips.
