I've known Matt, (Charlie Mike) pretty much since he's been a member here and was modifying his tactical folders to better suit his needs. He was fond of waving folders with variations of Ernie Emerson's wave function made famous on his CQC series knives.
Matt's gone through a lot of changes over the years and always learning he improved his skills as a result. He'd served his country in the Big Sandbox and using a knife was a daily occurrence for him. This caused Matt to evaluate his needs and the function and requirements of his EDC. Striving to get the knife he needed he contacted many premier knifemakers, Daryll Ralph being one of his favorites to collaborate with and had come away with some awesome blades.
Matt's finally setting up a real shop and starting to become pretty prolific cranking out his own style of blades with his take on many of the standard fixed blade patterns. Currently he's been making Asian influenced and Dagger style blades. He's made some beautiful Damascus blades using stock removal and has done some great looking blades with Carbon V steel and differentially tempering the blades leaving a distinct hamon after doing a ferric chloride dip to bring out the line.
This brings me to the purpose of this thread, to show off a knife Matt made for me, he named the Mad Hungarian (a nickname of mine) I'll add the specs later when
