I had seen the CMG Infinity LED Light and was wondering what others thought on this LED light?

I don't think CMG exists anymore as a company, but the Gerber version of the CMG Infinity Task light is just fine. A good all-round choice for illumination in a bomb-proof case.

No, it doesn't. Gerber bought them out. I like the Gerber version, but I don't like the combination of red, blue, green, and white LEDs all in one light.

It's a good, tough light that does a great job of illuminating small spaces. The batteries seem to last forever too. Great backpacking light.

I have one of the older CMG's and love it. Absolutely bulletproof, and it will suck that last bit of juice from a AA battery.

One thing to keep in mind, is that these things weren't intended to be spotlights. They were intended to be something that would give you enough illumination to see the way, and do it Timex reliable. The nice thing about that is the fact that if you flick them on in total darkness, they won't blind you, and that CAN be a disadvantage with the Surefires, et al.

I have three of the CMG's Infinitys. Two are the Government contract models called the Ultra and have a federal stock number. Great rugged light for lumination of small places. Its indestructible. There are brighter lights out there but for its intended use this is the one, as far as I am concerned.

I have several in kits, packs, and on my keychain. They are, as has been said, highly useful without blinding you.

I also bought them for my nephews in scouts. With a lithium battery, est. 100 hr burn time. This will enable them to have some "comfort" light for an extended period should they ever become lost.

And, best of all, bombproof..!!!!
