CMG Infinity (LED)- Long term opinion?

Hi all,

I'm about to send for a green CMG Infinity LED light. I know some of you have Infinity LED lights. I also checked some threads where you've commented that they are not as bright as Photon II's. The green is _supposed_ to be brighter, but that might just be perceived brightness.

Anyway, now that you have had them a while, and long term evaluation or comments?

TIA,
Dave

I've had my 4 CMG infinity tasklights (yellow) since Patrick Ma of Tripleaught annouced them on the forums. My evaluation still stands, not as bright as a photon II but then again, I don't have the white or this new green color. If you want bright, I suggest you purchase the white rather than the green. I will say that battery changes are easier on the CMG, and they are more water resistant than a photon II but we are talking about a 1.5 volt light versus a 3 volt light regardless of any FANTASTIC NEW STEP UP CIRCUITRY, so lets be fair and keep things in perspective. CMG is not a photon II killer, but a killer light in its own respect.

I would also suggest the white rather than green. I find using other colors makes it hard to do most normal tasks. And if you want to make the infinity 99% as bright as a photon white try adding a lithium AA battery instead of an alkaline to the light, it will make it brighter, weigh half as much, and last longer before it begins to dim.
