Well this may come as a surprise to you all, but this is a Thank you Thread :D
Man...I wonder what the percentage of Threads are of actual Thank you Threads are here - it would be pretty high, and that just shows us what a great place this is....

Willgoy ( Will ) - well whenever he posts - its always a gracious post, a most respected Forum Member here, and I have to tell you I respect him an awful lot - I am sure you would all agree with me here about Will!

Well we all had a get-together give-away thread a wee while ago, ok..it was the Mother Of All Give-Away Threads - it was a necessary to crush and stamp out a certain individual who was uprising at that time :D

Well Will won My part of the give-away which was a Red Jigged Bone TC.....so off it went, now I am not too sure of what part of Winning our good mate Will doesnt understand :p - because the great guy went and sent me a knife that honestly...I love ... Man - its a 2008 Forums Knife with the most attractive Scales...now I am a sucker for these types of scales - Stag - dyed that is Killer, and a Patina that I ever slightly suspect may have been introduced just that little bit = but with the colouring of the Stag-its a STUNNING match - I need to see someone because my Family think there some sort of worm thats in my brain - how else can one look at a knife and be spell bound? - I tend to do this all too often, but trying to comprehend on how another knife nut managed to actually let this one go!!!!! - his worm is probably a lot bigger than mine - and been there for a wee bit longer doing it's thing :)

Will my friend - our friend of this lovely place...Sir thank you, and thank you for that great card with that beautiful Moose on it, and your thoughts.... I always feel terrible trying to say thank you to my good mates who gift me a wonderful piece of Cutlery like this - as words dont just cut it ...get it ! words just dont..... never mind :o

Ramble button - push "OFF"
Picture button "ON"..........

sucky moto photo....no you dont need glasses - sorry for the blur :grumpy: didnt realise till i got in.

Lovely knife Duncan. Very generous of you Will :)

Thank you Duncan! I'm a retiring type so the limelight might blind me.....

I had a spare 08 due to a piece of great fortune and I wanted to give away the spare, your head popped over the parapet Duncan so you got it mate. Interestingly enough, the tea-dye treatment works really well on stag (you need a few drinks beforehand to get the nerve to do it though....) it also blackens the blades like nobody's business.

Above all, my best wishes come with the knife for your generosity and contributions. Mind you, we saw another side to you Duncan during that GAW...all those infractions you were gleefully handing out were a real laugh :D:D:eek::eek: But watch out future miscreants......

Regards, Will

That's what makes the place so special that even though I don't bother to get on the 'net too much these days, I still come here because of the family here. And it is like family. The generosity here is unreal, and this is yet another example of it. Fine knife from a fine gent, to another fine gent.:thumbup:

I've become very fond of the Northwoods stockman, and that is a sterling example of one!

Good stuff all 'round from two of our forum stalwarts. This is a good place, isn't it . . . :)

Simply OUTSTANDING!!!! Will you're a Gentleman's Gentleman! Duncan needless to say you're always a stellar example of an ideal forum member here. Your photos and your input here are always great.

That Stockman is beautiful - most probably know it happens to be my favorite pattern now as my #1 in the RFP with a Peanut as my #2 in the watch pocket.

Kudos and thanks to you both for your contributions here!

Just a super Beauty of a knife, Will!! Very well done, Sir! Well done!

Duncan, I always enjoy your so called rambles! Makes this place special with you in it:D Congrats, my friend.

Will, that's fantastic, both the treatment of the knife and the gifting of the knife---your a good one Will, glad your here:thumbup:

Duncan--your exuberance is always abound is every post you make and ALWAYS enjoyable to read---you are a deserving Mate:thumbup:

Never EVER tire of these threads and the generosity here on this forum;):)

Will, you sure made that one more beautiful and then you go and give it away! To the casual observer on the outside looking in the folks here might appear a bit nuts. But, they just don't get it. Outstanding Will, I applaud you.

Duncan, you know not many folks deserve the kind treatment you received, but you are truly an exception to that. Congratulations on such a fine gift. Two more gents that make this place home. Like Carl said, family. Great stuff.

Chris

Massive kudos to both Duncan and Will; well done, guys!!:thumbup:

+5K!

Does the traditional forum have a theme song? "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" would seem quite fitting here, all year long.:D
