ok i'm being pestered to make a knife for my old man. he wants stainless. what do you think about the stuff? any other suggestion on better stainless? i hear that s30v has had a lot of inconsitentcy lately. thanks a lot.
 
Hitachi ATS-34 is always a good choice imo. Roger Linger did the HT on a couple for me a while back before I got my paragon. He did the cryo too. No pics yet, but when I finally finish them I'll post.
 
and you make fun of me for the thick blades! well before i go ordering anything i need to figure out what size knife he wants.

It was for a ULU. I make thick blade but they are long that 4" are yours???? :p :p
