Anyone ever used a CNC grinder to do the work?

Just curious as I have a couple of pretty complex deisgns that I'd like to make.

P.S. If you know where a person could price them out, it would be helpful. Thanks! :)

Well ...... the controversial cnc topic. I'm sure some guys must have some blades cut out for them (the perimeter). When you look at some peoples knives it's obvious they either have used a template or they get the perimeters done for them as they look to be exactly the same. If you look on admiral steels website they offer lasor cutting. I can't help you with a price though as I haven't yet experimented with this avenue. :D

We have a couple cnc grinders at work. Until now, they weren't practical for the type of work that we do. Some of our work is now lending itself towards that application. From what I've seen, cost of machine, cost of setup, etc... would make it non cost effective for knifemaking.

I've gotten prices from 100K -150K for a used one. A new one will run approx 500K
