Hey guys! I'm cutting micarta and G10 on the CNC router, what bits would be best?

I usually use 2 flute spiral cut upcut bits... and downcut for kydex so it stays on the table. I try to stay to 1/8" everything.

Would straight flute be better for tough composites like micarta? Something different like a burr?

I'm asking more about the type than a brand. I know for the router I use cheap stuff and the good stuff on the mill.

I run a pretty decent table, it seems pretty solid but consumer grade... x-carve pro.

I get along well with regular 2 flute TiAlN coated endmills. They tend to be much cheaper than router type bits. DLC or CVD coated endmills will last longer but not long enough to justify the added expense, in my experience anyway.

Thanks guys! I think I'm doing OK then... have always bought the same bits and was not sure. I lost my original 6040 router when my shop got destroyed and am rebuilding.
