Co-worker Christmas gifts

So there's two different coworkers I want to get some sort of knives as Christmas presents. Max budget is around 30 each give or take a little. We all use knifes frequently at work so keep that in mind. One part of me thinks to go towards victorinox or some sort of SAK. Other tools like screw drivers and the like would also be useful. The other side of me thinks to just go with a decent little utility blade. Other than the budget I'm open to suggestions. As of now one carries a spyderco tasman h1 and one carries some winchester cheap frame lock. sorry that this is vague :(

Kershawguy.com has skyline blems for 29 bucks, so as of now it is between that and a SAK. I've had neither and might pick of whatever my choice is for myself as well ;)

I don't know if I would go with a blem for a gift but that might just be me. RAT or Esee folders. Utilitac II. I think you can even find a kershaw thermite for $30. A SAK would do nice as well.

I think you could find the Kershaw Cryo for about $25+ online at a few places. I had one (was "borrowed" and never found its way back to me) and really liked it. I've since become a bit of a steel snob, but it's a knife I wish I had back.

Also Kershaw oso sweet...that's 20ish most places and a great little knife. Perfect size for general utility.

I have both RAT 1's and RAT 2's. I'd go with the 3" bladed RAT 2 for a gift in your case.

I got a coworker (who was moving on to a new job) a nice Opinel, with his name and our company burned into the handle for less than $20 delivered. Those wouldn't be too bad.
I would love a gift like that personally. And the non-knife crowd is less scared by the traditional bread-n-cheese snack knife look of the Opinels in my experience.

Good idea I didn't think about an Opinel...maybe they are getting 2 knives each haha

I still think the best folder under $30 is a Rat 2. If not that then a SAK if neither of them have one.

I wouldn't give someone currently carrying a frame lock an Opinel and expect them to EDC it. Maybe the guy carrying the traditional....

Oh yeah, don't overlook the Kershaw Leek.

I just received a blue Cass Sod Buster Jr and it is a very nice looking one for about $30.

Kershaw Cryo is selling for $20 a couple places this weekend. Bought two myself yesterday to take advantage of the sales. If you want to get a multitool the Leatherman Wingman is on sale at Home Depot for $20 right now. Either would be good options

I have EDC'ed a Byrd Cara Cara 2 for the past year plus. I believe it was right at $15 shipped for the FRN PE. It is on the larger side, but it is very easy to carry and low maintenance with Spyderco quality.

I grabbed a dozen Opinel no. 6's to give to the guys at work this year. Last year was a bunch of those swisskey knives

Hey guys new the site and just wondering what would be a good knife for like 80 to 100 dollars

Connor you are better off starting your own post, that way everyone can see you topic and give input rather than just the people who view this thread!

Also, be a bit more specific if possible. We love specifics here. Overall size, blade size, folder or fixed, materials if you have preference. I'm sure you'll find some fantastic recommendations. Good luck, and welcome!

To the OP, I second the idea of a Case Sodbuster or Sodbuster Jr., but would suggest a CV version if at all possible. I've never had a pocket knife of this quality at a price so affordable.

To this new fellow connor.barram, any of the folders currently being offered from GEC are great users, and if you find it's not for you, they're not hard to get rid of either.

I would go alox sak really screams quality to most people since they are accustomed to seeing them with the red plastic handle.

Thanks guys...I think right now I'm leaning toward an alox cadet and a opinel no 6 for each of them. 2 knives is better than 1, right? ;) :)
