Great looking old knife. I would be proud to carry that stockman.

Good co-worker. He a fellow 'nut?
No. I gave him "the what-for" for mistreating it. Rattling around loose in a drawer full of loose hand tools. Said he uses it to cut fruit. Told him I'd give him a SAK for use with lunch and that he should put the Case somewhere else. Then he handed it to me and asked if I wanted it. I've known him for 13+ years, and we've been through some tough things together. I just need to get the sticky gummy film off of it and out of it. Need to stop by wally world tomorrow on the way to work and pick up a Vic Camper for him.

Not a believer in the karmic........................................but, today I took in to work today an old, worn, beat Camillus 20 and a similar condition 41 I grabbed a few years ago when a moving friend was going to toss them in the garbage. Took them in to give a peer in another division with whom I worked in Afghanistan last year.

That's a beaut. That's the sort of stockman I'm interested in. Nice rescue and sounds the knife is already making friends with you!

Did you give him a coin? It is required you know.
Not in my culture. Regardless, I'm not superstitious. Besides, I'll give him a SAK later this morning so he'll have a knife he can retrieve from his drawer when he needs to slice his fruit.

My girlfriend's family also gives out coins with knives. I hadn't heard of this custom before and hadn't heard of it since until you mentioned it. Interesting.
When one gives a coin with a knife, the original intent was for the knife receiver to return the coin to the knife giver.

Very nice. Gifts like that are nice to receive and nice that you gifted him one in return. Thanks for sharing.
