I just got one at wally world. The brand really gets slammed at candleforums but it seems like a nice little light to me, I wonder if anybody else here has tried it.

I got the 3led one that runs on one AA battery. My reasoning is that if I was limited in my batteries I could still have this one light with one common battery. I can't believe how bright it is! The beam is bright and diffused and lights up a whole room very evenly, heck it almost lights up the whole house! I have my usual battery of led headlamps for backpacking and stuff but I'm trying out some of the less expensive new models coming out. My electricity goes out quite often and I use my lights a lot. I just gave a neighbor a cheap garrity headlamp so she could read in her bed and go to the bathroom and stuff and her batteries would not go dead.

THe only concern I have so far with the coast one that I just got is the button seems like it could accidently get pressed, I guess I won't carry it in my purse or pack much, I have my Princten tec altitude for that I guess.

One of the critisisms at candlepower is they said the light was purplish. Mine is one of the whitest beams I've tried so far. They also said the led's were overdriven, or something to that effect and the bulbs would burn out, I guess I'll just have to wait and see on that. They said it looked cheap and crappy but I think it's a pretty sharp little light. There is no lens cover which strikes me as odd but at least that's less to get scratched up, the bulbs are protected by being resessed.

Anyway, just thought I would put in my 2 cents. The last 2 power outages this past week lasted over 3 hours but I had my spare headlamps in each room set on low, did not need to use hot candles, and I had plenty of light the whole time, one of my neighbors came over for a drink, I had a battery powered radio, laptop was charged, and had a battery powered fan, it was business as usual around here!

I have and use daily, a Light Lenser V-2. This is an great light and anyone who dismisses it because of the brandname is missing the boat. Enjoy your light as it will hold up under hard use (mine has for around 2 to 2 1/2 yrs.)

I've got the V2 tactical, the black one that goes on 3 aaa bats.

Excellent light.
