Actually it was just a walk with my dogs but I did find some wild edibles !

Here is a shot of the section of coastline.....

First plant I came across is what I believe to be American Searocket, the young shoots and pods of which can be either cooked or eaten raw in salads.

The dogs looked for edibles in the sea such as Sea Lettuce while I searched the beach !

I then came across what I think is Russian Red Kale, if it is then it's an excellant edible find( Maybe Doc Canada can confirm this for me ?)

The sun was starting to set so it was time to start heading back.....

Although some people looked like they were staying for a while......

Great photos as usual Pit.

I enjoy the vegitation, and info that goes along with it, but I have to admit, was hoping you had found another interesting item like the rope.

What, no knife pictures? Isn't there some rule that there has to be at least one shot with a knife in it?

LOL ! I did actually find some rope, netting and an old bit of what looked like a mat from a car. I took a small amount of each, photographed them and was going to see which one lit up with a spark from my ferro rod. This of course would have included a pic of my knife as well ! Unfortunately none of them would light so I finished up scrapping that idea !!!!:(

We'll let you off easy this time. You better have two knife pics in your next post.:D

Well, thanks for a little bright spot in a bad day. Thanks for the pics, Pit.

Great looking pics. Did you take those last night or does it get dark early where you are at?

The knife you shown very like to this Toyokuni -" Tgakame" - fishman utility

knife with only 5 cm blade, it is legal to carry around in Japan.

Will you hate me if I say a 5 minute drive ?:o

Well, everyone else can be nice. I will go ahead and hate you. :D

I guess the great thing about it though, is that you not only appreciate the fact that you do, but that you are generous enough to share with the rest of us with your great photos.

I do like 'em.
