Are there certain colors that seem to chip off more than others?
Thought I saw/read that somewhere and was looking into the AK's.
Wanted to get the more chip resistant color as I don't plan on stripping her.

The black crinkle wears more quickly than the desert tan, but is more resistant to chipping.

The desert tan chips more easily than the black crinkle, but is more resistant to wear.

Which will last you better depends on how you will use it.

The OD green on my custom shop SFNO is very durable.

I agree... and it takes a lot to make a tan coating look like this.... :D

I found the brown on my Mud Razor to wear and chip very easily in some spots but really stick in others?? At this stage I have pretty much worn all the brown of the blade.

I have some pretty large chips in my FBM's black coating. I will get some pictures up later.

The mud on my MR chips off pretty easily too... My OD green FSH has held up the best.
