Coating for bead blasted blades

Hi, I regularly find myself purchasing older and/or used knives. Often the blades are lightly scratched or pitted and I have them bead blasted. I was wondering if I could coat these blades with anything to preserve the bead blasted finish. I noticed one maker uses a clear lacquer and I think Grecko coats his blades with something as well. Does anybody have any ideas on this subject. Any info would be welcome and greatly apreciated. Thanks. Guy.

Guy, maybe try some bake on acrylic lacquer
or a powder coat system.DK

The man who does my bead blasting suggests a good coat of ren wax, and that is working fine for me
