Coating options for INFI?

Anyone ever try coating INFI steel with tungsten DLC, or a PVD finish? Would DLC bond properly?
 
I really like the look of DLC coating on a few guns that I have. I may have to try it on a knife someday. I know others have but I have no personal experience to offer as far as a blade coating goes.
