Coating question

Would having a combat grade Busse with the crinkle coat have any effect on the coating?

I was thinking maybe having Bodycote over one, then the coating would not wear off.

I would not bodycoat over the crinkle coat. It's tough, but not all that hard compared to steel, and may not be the best foundation for the bodycoat. Get it satin-finished or double cut, then do it :D

Let me know how it turns out, because I was thinking of trying it on one of mine...
They would definitely have to remove any existing coating first (also the handles...).
I thought BC wasn't doing individuals' knives anymore?

Um, they are not that I know of.

Guess I should have emphasied the "thinking" part a bit more.
