Coating Removal,SRK

I have an early Cold Steel SRK that has the black coating scratched up a bit. I would like to know the easiest way of removing the coating without harm to the steel. After removing the coating I plan to cold blue it and resharpen it, and get a Spec Ops sheath for my nephew that is a medic in the 101st Airborne. This and a new Leatherman should serve him well while in harms way.

the stuff you get at wal-mart is good...Tru Strip I want to say will work well.....just slather it on, wait and wipe it off.

Just remember that cold bluing will wear off much faster then other coatings that can be applied.
