Is it possible to strip the coating off a Busse in just one area and not the whole knife? Maybe tape the knife off an the area you didnt want stripped. Ive used both spray on and the jelly type stripper and prefer the spray on. I know the stripper cant eat through things like laytex gloves, would it have the same effect on say painters tape? Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Try it and see? Are you going to do your own camo Busse blade? That would be sweet. Like a frosted jack, but a coated jack...

Hmmm... I remember someone had one a while back where they applied the stripper via a paintbrush only on the spine and around the handle... I don't know why you couldn't do the same thing. Keep us posted... that should look cool.

I'd be wary of the spray with the tape, I'd test the spray stripper on a few different kinds of tape first and see which if not all :p melt. THEN use the tape to mask it off.

This is how I got the black crinkle off the choil and spine of the CG FBM I owned. I didn't use tape though, can't see why you couldn't, I just dabbed a little bit of Jasco on the spot I wanted to remove and carefully scrapped it off with a razor blade.
