coating zoom

I shamelessly lifted the attached pic from a shop thread. I thought the level of detail of the crinkle coating was worthy of it's own thread.

This makes me wonder, what would zoomed in shots of other coatings look like? I know the tan coating and the muddy coating are different than the black coating (at least in their abrasive feel).

While many consider blade coatings to be unsightly, I think this pic shows that they can have their own sense of aesthetic.

i know some cant stand coatings but i have no beef with'em.

also,in my experiences busse combat,swamprat & scrapyards coatings are 10 times more tougher,wear resistant and resilient than the coating on any other fixed blades i've come across yet.

i try and get the coating to wear off because i like that user look but the stuff is so damn resilient.
 
I used to not like the coated blades but they are starting to grow on me and quick!!!!
