I just got one of David Boye's dendritic cobalt folders and I was wondering if anyone knew if you should steel these knives after sharpening? Also what should i use to sharpen it in the first place? The cobalt only has a rockwell hardness of 40 so using anything to coarse will not work well. I left a message with David and I will post what he tells me. In the mean time I wanted to get any insight any of you had.

Both Talonite and BDC sharpen up very easily on a Spyderco Sharpmaker. Don't really know about steeling them. I've never had occasion to try it.
