When this arrived, I realized how awesome it really was. Stainless damascus by Freidrich "Fritz" Schneider, who pioneered the forging of stainless damascus in the early 80's. Cobra is thick silver over bronze with hematite eyes, by Parisian knifemaker and sculptor Jean-Marc Laroche. This was in Don Guild's collection for years, something I had been wanting, actually.
Amazingly balanced to the hand, right at the center of the Cobra's "neck". As well, amazing balance on the vertical, with balance being exacting, balance line drawn from tip to the mouth of the cobra. This means it achieves perfect balance when placed on it's tip. About a foot long.
Superb.
Care and feeding: One mongoose, monthly.
