This bowie has an 11" 1084 blade made via stock removal with a hand pulled satin finish' 1/4" stock. this is my first try using a genuine tw-90 surface grinding attachment to make full distal taper from the ricasso to the tip before grinding the bevels. it worked well. the handle is cocobolo done as a mortise tang, the two halves were routed out to closely accept the knife tang, then pinned and epoxied together. has a soldered nickel guard and black spacer. thanks for taking a look ! happy thanksgiving.

Nice looking knife John, could you post a pic of the tape you did with your surface grinder attachment?

thanks guys ! i had originally tried to get a pic of the taper but none came out well. i just took a few outdoors and it came out better. i profiled the blade, then scribed two centerlines .060" at the tip. then i kept adjusting the angle of the surface grinder attachment until the taper went from where the riccasso ends to the scribed lines on the tip, then ground the bevels as usual. it did save some time at the grinder.
