I just finished this one this morning. I wanted to make a simple, light and comfortable one to use. It has a 4 inch blade and the OAL is 8 1/4. I'm tempted to keep this one myself. :D But, it will probably be at the Little Rock show in February.

Beautiful work, nice clean lines and design. Any time I make a knife that I'm tempted to keep, I know I did some of my best work. Looks like a winner!!!

I like it. How about telling us something about it? What steels were used to make the damascus? It looks like a very low layer count.

Yes it is a very low layer count. I think 12 layers twisted. The steels are 1080 and 15N20. I got a big chunk of cocobolo in June at the Blade show and thats what the handle is from. I recut the wood so the grain would be exposed a little better. The fittings are nickle/silver. I drilled the wood, instead of splitting it in mortise tang fashion. I like mortised tang, but wanted to try it different this time. I think I'll drop in at Kenny Rowe's and see if he will fix up a sheath. Thanks, Lin
