I am having difficulty getting a quility side by side comparison of these inlays. Anyone have a clear pic? If not, is it possible to describe the differences, is one more "elegant" looking, etc. Thanks for the help

My pick would be the Desert Ironwood given that it is the less commonly seen Inlay therefore making it more unique (IMHO). Good luck and let us know what you decide. ;)

I have most in one shot...thanks to best knives.com:)

LaBella- Thanks for the pic it helps alot. So am I right in assuming that the desert ironwood is a little more reddish than the cocobolo? Which would go best with say, a vodka martini, Citizen watch, tuxedo, and hiking boots? :D

Recently received Spirit blade from SHIVA KI in cocobolo and it is red, red! Both woods come in varying shades and colors.I would try Lignum Vitae with a tux and hiking boots, though!

Cocobolo looks darker, and has more red in it, whereas Desert Ironwood is lighter and has a little more orange color in it. I don't have a Cocobolo Sebenza (yet), but here's a picture of my Desert Ironwood Sebenza (the wood looks a little darker in this picture than it really is):

I'm yet to see two pieces of Cocobolo that look the same, whereas Ironwood seems to be a bit more consistent.
