Code 4 Clip Point vs Spear Point

I've had my spear point code 4 for a long time and I love it but looking at the new line I will get one of the new XHP blades. However I'm unsure if I should get the spear point again or if I should try the clip point.

So for those of you who have had experience with both, which do you prefer? Do they perform differently on certain tasks?

I don't have experience with both. I have a spear point Code 4 but will be getting the new XHP model in clip point. Well, my first one will be clip point. I'll likely own more that one of the XHP Code 4s

The spear point tip is sturdier, but the clip point will pierce better. Both will be pretty tough though.
