I picked up a Cold Steel Code 4 in a clip point a couple days ago, mostly on a whim, and I can say that I think that Cold Steel has a real winner with this one. Super slim design makes it nearly invisible in my pocket, and you hardly know its there. The hollow ground clip point blade is very functional, and looks to be pretty robust. The aluminum handle is very comfortable with great ergonomics. AUS 8 steel, as done by Cold Steel, I find very reliable and also dead easy to sharpen. So in closing, I'd just like to say "well done" for such a great blade at such a reasonable price! I look forward to carrying this one for a while.

That's good to hear, O-Dog. I like what you say about the slim design and invisibility in the pocket, as those are big factors for me. I'll have to investigate this one further. And with the smooth scales, there will be no more shredded pockets.

i got one a couple weeks ago myself with the serrated combo edge clip point and its well worth the money.

Well, here's mine. An example of superior knife design if I ever saw one.

After owning, carrying and using it for a good while, I can't think of anything bad to say about it. It's just that good.

Dang. That's some serious grip tape. I added about a 1" square to a Kershaw Knockout to aid pocket extraction, and I might do about this same amount for the Code 4. I'm leaning toward the spear point flavor.

I love the spear point, most of my folders have just the small 1" patch of grip tape just where my thumb lands to pull it out of my pocket. I went a little wild on these but turns out I like it.

I've owned the Code-4 for several months now. It's by far my favorite Cold Steel folder, hands down.

The mirror polished blade will get rust spots if you're not careful. Oil it regularly!

Agreed.
The Code 4 is a great knife on many levels but I did learn the hard way that it will rust.
Fortunately I caught it before pitting occurred.
