Does anyone know of a travel/photography vest that is all synthetic? I have seen the all cotton and the cotton/nylon mix but cotton is cotton and it does not dry fast enough for my likings. I've seen the eagle vests and the blackhawks but am looking for something that looks more commercial and not military. Please let me know if you know of such a vest.

I have only had good things to say about B&H -- I bought a Canon EOS Elan 7 and 3 lenses and some various other products, their service is excellent, shipping is awesome. You get what you pay for.

Try US Cavalry, I found a summer 2000 catalog in the couch today and they had a vest described as being nylon. Page 123 top left. Called the Cargo vest Item AA18811, Black, Khaki, Olive 34.95 Doesn't look too "tactical". 1-800 -333-5102 is their CS#

called teh Paramount Vest... only $58 and 100% nylon. It is very lightweight and not designed for the bush or anything too heavy duty. Good for the day trip to 6 flags or vacationing...

I have one made by Ex Officio thats 100% polyester. It's fairly light and slightly water resistant. I purchased it at Great Outdoor Provission Co on sale for about $40 a couple of years or so ago. I use it mostly when working outdoor festivals or other large events to stash pens, radios, headsets, connectors, small tools and such. Its khaky color is cooler in the sun than darker colors but shows dirt easily. It has always cleaned up nice by just hand washing. The lable says it can be machine washed but with the grime that I get on it I would rather keep it away from the rest of the laundy.
