Tired of 'Survivorman' reruns? Sick of Bear Grylls weird feeding habits? I forgot how good Cody & Dave could be in their 'Dual Survivor' show. I just don't know about Friday night's season premiere's start. Dave self-inflicted a wound - and closed it in a flash. Still, lots of interesting info - shelters, fire-starting, Cody's inexpensive rusting knife, the bare feet, etc. I also look forward to the 'Man, Woman, Survive' series - I hope it returns. Anyone else catch last night's show?

Some lessons from the bush can be as much about what not to do as what things to do . I like discussing the gear these guys use and the methods they use to get by.
Although most of the episodes for this season have already been edited and in the can before there was such a negative reaction to the first aid demonstration there should be good things to come .Instead of beating a dead horse I say let us dress it out , skin it and do some thing with all the meat and hide throwing out the spoiled and useless parts and feast or use what is left, this anology IMHO could apply to the show its self.

I haven't been coming on the forum much and didn't notice that Brian Jones is back so a belated welcome back I look forward to your input here .

mkhop, thanks...I personally tend to refrain from commenting on these shows anymore. The stars have no real control over content. They either do what the producer/director wants, or get replaced. I've seen it happen on other reality shows and it certainly skews the reality.

Welcome back Brian, good to see ya !

I think you both nailed it, these shows are entertainment, sometimes you get some useful info but for the most part just take ya brain out, sit back and enjoy them for what they are. I know watching them all on youtube help my nightshifts pass by !!!!
