I was wandering through Borders as I do about once a week, and saw that Codys new book was out. I bought it right away, and skimmed through it last night. I liked his writing style and the drawing that were in 98.6, and this book has the same.

Cody presents the material in such an entertaining way, it's like listening to a good friend tell you stories. He covers a wide variety of things. Everything from eating dogs, cats and rats, to basic self defense, to scavenging.

Being in earthquake country, disaster preparedness has been engrained in me since I was a kid. We always had disaster kits and food storage, but this book will help put it all together. Even with my limited time with it, I can tell it will be another winner.

I have both of his books, and took a class of his last summer. 98.6 was a great, easy read, but I find myself having to work a lot harder to get through When all Hell...I know there will be a payoff, but it's taking some mental sweat to get there.

Great guy though, and I am saving up for another class this summer or next.

I sort of noticed the same thing, but I think it's because the new one covers a broader range of things. 98.6 was straight ahead survival principles.
