Coffee and Koster Knives

Hello Dan,

I recently voted on your logo and was hoping to win that Scout 3V that's been on my wish list for a while but somebody else got lucky! Anyways, I was drinking my coffee this morning an one of my favorite mugs and saw something that made me think of you. Tell me what you think!

Yes, I played around with a "K" similar to that when I first got started. Came up with a "DK" version as well. But I found it was used a lot already.

The story behind my current logo is this:

Ironically, I was advising another Knifemaker on what he could do to make his own logo punchier....(I have, after all, been teaching graphic design for years )....anyway he hinted at a reversed imprint of his last initial and I drew one up for him. Personally I thought it looked great...but he didn't like it and moved on. Then it occurred to me I could use this idea for myself. And I came up with the current logo. Unique, has multiple interpretations, is kinda artsy.
