Have you all ever tried the Contigo commuter cup? I could not justify the $20.00 price then the wife surprised me with one for X-mas last year and it's become my newest, bestest friend.
Now, I'd like to find a thermos just like it or very similar. Does anyone have any recommendations?

If you mean this one, yes. I like it too.

I don't understand what you're asking. A Thermos brand cup that's similar? A thermos bottle that looks similar? Or do you have some other Contigo brand cup that's not vacuum insulated? (The one in the pic is. I got mine at Target.)

Thermos Nissan Stainless-Steel Insulated Bottle

These work very well and run $20 for a 16 oz model and $25 for the 32 oz. You will need a bottle brush to clean them. A Stanley wide mouth 24 oz bottle works well but, it is much larger and heavier.

Thanks Sid and I'm sorry Cougar. I generically call all tall devises capable of carrying 3-5 cups of hot coffee a thermos. Its kinda like all facial tissues are Kleenixs with me? I want something like the Contigo in a thermos?
(I think I cornfused myself)

I have a SS coffee cup that I cought at Starbucks last year for 20 bucks. It keeps my coffee hot for hours. I may get one of their travel presses next.

Okay, you're looking for a 3-5 cup thermos bottle similar to the Contigo cup. I agree with Sid, look at Nissan Thermos. They're not the cheapest but they keep your coffee hot significantly longer than cheaper ones and they're lightweight and they have the same kind of simple shiny steel look as the Contigo cup.

The "Thermax" line of Thermos cups and bottles are the best I've come across.

There is one Thermos in the Thermax line called the "Rock" which holds about a 12 cup pot of coffee. I left it in the car one Michigan winter night and when I opened it in the am, it was still hot and tasty.

The cups use to be around $20.00 but I can find them for around $10-14 now. The Rock was considerably more.

I got one of those. I love it.

Stainless steel inside, secure locking lid with thread gasket. I think this product is one of the best made. It fits into the cup holders in vehicles too. Just make sure when you wash it, you take the time to get the gasket on the lild that screws on. It gets nasty under there.
$20 for the cup actually a fair price. That is the equivalent of 4-5 Starbucks coffees. If you can sacrifice that, you can get a cup that will pay for itself within a month.
