Coffee etch to enchant contrast on stainless damascus?

According to Kyle Roger MS. seems like coffee etch work pretty well to bring out contrast on carbon damascus after ferric etch was done by soaking overnight in strong coffee solution.

Have anyone try this method on stainless damascus?
