Hey folks, I ordered some coffee but somehow it came in as whole beans, which may be a good thing? but I do not have a grinder, like knives, there seems to be a plethora of them out there!

Any favourites? Want to get the bean down to use in a dripgrind little container and into a Keurig maker.

Thanks in advance!

For finer grinds the Hario grinder which can be found on the river is excellent. I used it every morning, hand crank 2-3 minutes and viola. A third party actually makes a upgrade party to make coarser grinds more consistent. It's got ceramic burrs (clean by grinding instant rice from box) and is two piece, the grinder upper and handle which screws on glass jar lower. Relatively inexpensive as well.

After using several different electric models, and only making a cup at a time, and using an AeroPress or Kalita pour over, I bought a used Zassenhaus hand grinder from eBay. That was 7 years ago and I have never regretted the choice. I enjoy the morning ritual and the grind is quite consistent and literally no cleanup required.

Thanks for all the advice guys, the place I got the coffee from were very kind to me, they are sending out two bags drip grind today, I had opened the one bag so I may just check around where I work and see if someone has one I can borrow as they can't take back an opened package.

small company, good people and great coffee!

I used to grind my own beans (electric grinder which worked just fine). Just got tired of the ritual. I like coffee, but my tastes certainly aren't as developed as many here. I pretty much drink the same coffee at home every day that I make it.

My take is this.... if you pretty much drink the same coffee daily, go with ground coffee if it is a regular store brand. If you switch around a lot, I would go whole beans as they store better.
