Coffee Mug that doesn't leak?

While on my way to an important gathering for work this morning my coffee mug decided to let half of the coffee in my mouth, and half of it down the front of my shirt and all over my tie.

Luckily I had a bottle of water with me which cleaned up most of the coffee, and once that dried you couldn't see the stain. Had I been wearing a white shirt I would have looked like a complete moron in front of all these big wigs.

With that, I want a better mug. I'm tired of these crappy $5 ones from the local stores.

I don't mind spending up to $20 on a good one. I would like:

- Steel Design
- Screw on cap that doesn't leak after a couple months
- Handle would be nice, but not needed
- Able to fit in average size car cupholders

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

If such a beast exists I would love to hear about it. I would add "made in USA" to my list

I am down to my last large Aladdin coffee cup. The lid on it is fianlly getting loose and its starting to dip a bit:grumpy:

I've been satisfied with the Thermos 360 mug. Pretty cool, since you can drink from anywhere around the mug, and don't have to "hunt for the hole".

You can find them at Tarjay or other brick-morters for about $12 or so.

I just picked up a "drink from anywhere" mug from Kohls tonight for $10. Made in USA and claimed leak resistant.

I took it home, fill it up, tipped it upside down and shook. NO LEAKS!

I'm highly impressed.

I assume you were driving.
SO...
Dont drink and drive.;)

And since that really isn't an option in todays world...The thermos shown in the above post gets my vote.

Be sure and give us an update in two months. :D

That I will. It has a thick rubber seal for the lid and even the close/open part of the lid seems to be pretty well made.

We'll see what happens. :)

Let me guess.... The wife drug you to Kohls. :D

I would have never gone there just to look for coffee mugs.;)

No wife, but the girlfriend works there...close enough.

I was buying some clothes for work that were on sale and saw the mugs at the check out.

Seems like it should work well.
