I really like this knife, but I have one suggestion; just use your maker's mark and don't put a nameplate on the blade. Other than that, I like this knife the most of all that you have posted.

This is a very pretty knife!

I think the overall lines and flow are excellent, with very good color scheme as well.

I do think it would be more pleasing to the eye with a guard that's about half that thick and the ferrule/spacer being thinner as well.... but that's just me.

Overall I think this is a beautiful knife. :)

Jing,
Very nice Bowie,Coffins are one of my favorite Bowie styles and this is a striking example.
Really like the curly maple, very appropriate on a coffin handle, in my mind anyway.
You do excellent work!
Do you have any trouble sourcing your materials?

Doug :)

I, as Nick would have gone with a thinner guard. In my opinion the maker's plate works on this particular piece but wouldn't use it as a standard.
I'm amazed at the skill level of your work considering being self taught in such a short period of time.

The reason why l put a nameplate on the blade is following: l marked my maker'e mark on one side of eht blade, but the mark is slant. For Remedying it ,l have to put a nameplate on the blade.besides l want to inlay silver wire on the blade.
Anyway thank you.
