Heres two different designs of the coffin handle.
please note I'm still really new at knife design, so If something is not right please let me know. Sorry for the crappy pics

first is the slightly curved

second is the straight one

Looks good to me. The only problem I see is which handle to use for mine!

Stomper, either one is a winner!

The curved one looks better, to me, probably would fel better.
The straight sided coffin would be more 'authentic'.

This is the best bowie design I have seen out of the bunch, so far!

Stomper, I think you could do this concept to the Nth degree.

Very close to one of my designs, I am working on.
Mine differs by having a slightly longer and slimmer blade; more a fighter then a workhorse.

This design, however, is outstanding!

What it needs are solid rivets, and a wood handle.

Hmmm. I see one with a crossdraw pouch sheath adorned with beads and fringe.
Forged finish with beat-up walnut handles.

Very cool. Looking forward to seeing how these turn out. I'd get one, but my Lobo would cry.

Hi Jas79 -

That is a really clean look, and it looks like a JK to me.

Since Stomper is now talking about 6 pins in the coffin handle, I am thinking that handle would look good in maple burl......:D

best regards-

I am really looking forward to seeing yours!

I am curious to see what you can do with the Ivory micarta. I have not seen you work with it previously. I think it is a great material.
