The was a customer order, not my usual style. I thought it would be a challenge so I took on the job. It's 1/8" D2 steel, flat grind with brass fittings and ebony wood. All comments welcome. Thanks for looking, Scott

WOW ! Scott, you did an amazing job on this one ! Love the handles and the blade is awsome ! Man this is going to make it much harder for me to decide which kind I want. I have been trying to decide for several months which model to order for my grandson. (Or me  )

Really, this is one beautiful knife, I have always liked the coffin handle shapes for some reason. But I still got my eye on one of the little standard hunters with some type of horn handle.

Thanks for the kind words Robbie. This knife was indeed a little bit of a challenge as most of my standard knives are basic. Figuring out how to do the brass wrap was tricky at first as I've never done it before. It got frustrating but I managed to make it work.

THats one nice knife Scott. Did you rivet the brass bolster or fittings?
I love the shape of the tip.

Thanks Brian. Yes I did rivet, actually pinned the brass bolster. I cut two pieces to size from a 12" piece of brass bar and used 1/8" pin stock to pin it to the knife. The wrap was tricky. I used 0.020 brass sheet. I had to crazy glue and pin the wrap. It all worked out in the end with a extremely happy customer. :D
