This one is mostly done, and will probably be my last knife completed for a while as I'll be off training for six months with my real job! Anyway, specs are : 9" long blade forged to shape, 800 layers of 1084/L-6/0-1, 1084 center core ladder pattern san-mai construction. Low layer damascus guard shim and feral, rusted and blued mild steel guard, ebony spacer, stabilized madrone burl handle, nickle silver pins. Flat ground w/convex edge. Now for a sheath!

Clint,IMO that is by far the nicest blade I have seen of your's yet. That is one sweet knife. What type of sheath do you have in mind for it?

WOW, that's a beauty! Excellent work!

I'm curious, did you do the san-mai just for the look? I only ask because I have found in my testing that O1/L6 will hold a great edge for a long time.

I really like everything you did. The handle and guard really set this beautiful blade off.

Stumpy, I thinking a dark brown with a "fish skin" inlay and a stud out front to enable carry in a "frog."

Nick, I San-Mai'd the blade just for the visual effect. O-1/L-6 does have a great reputation and I am leaning towards this mix the more I read and experiment. Kevin Cashen wouldn't use it otherwise, I'm sure!

Thanks for the comments.

Outstanding work. Very few makers nowadays do that type of stacked materials on this shape handle. You've done it exceedingly well. The damascus is eyecatching. Love it all ! Congrats. Jason.

Boy am I impressed. That is a stunner. That San Mai is gorgeous and the handle and fittings compliment it superbly.

Very nice. As mentioned, I really like the handle design in the overall esthetics. Terrific looking knife..., and nice pictures...
