I’ve been having fun lately making mokumegane from quarters. So far, I have just been doing it in my forge and relying on visual queues to know when it’s at the right temperature. If I wanted to do this in my kiln, does anyone know what temperature would be best for quarters?

Can’t help with the temp, I’ve made a few stacks in my forge. Have you done any patterns or just layers ?

I made a stack with nickels staked into it mixed in with the quarters and it gave a cool pattern. You could use the nickels with plane copper or even smash them for a larger piece.
