Coin washed my 25

Thanks to bb6tuner's thread on stone washing his sebbie, I gathered the courage to try it on my knife. Only difference is I decided to use coins. I used a variety of coins from pennies to gold dollars. This offered up a variety of color markings on the handle. It turned out amazing. I had no idea that the penny and gold dollar would add color to the plain titanium pallet. I stripped down my Sebenza and did only the titanium slabs that make up the frame. I put the parts in a round Tupperware container along with the coins. I then sprayed a little WD40 on the sides of the inner surface of the container. I wrapped the closed container in a towel as I would a sleeping bag. Then taped the towel closed. Tying it with para cord didn't work. It would just come undone and the container would let loose. I put each side of the frame in the container separately. I put the dryer in fluff mode to avoid adding any heat to the mix. I ran the dryer for about 30 minutes for each side. AMAZING!

Do this at your own risk. I'm not a professional by any means and am not telling to go try. May come out differently.

No need to add photos of the before. Everyone knows what it looks like.

Wow that turned out really nice! I am not sure I am brave enough to try that, but you have given me a nice finished product to picture if I develop the courage:)

Thanks for all the compliments. Very easy mode. I did the frame lock side first in case I didn't like how it turned out.

From the single, "In between days" ;)

I'm getting the guts to try this to my 25..

I'm surprised at how good this turned out! How is it holding up? Any better than the bead blasted finish?

Well done - it turned out fantastic. It's funny that when a Sebenza is new I have such a hard time using it (don't want to mess up the finish). However, the used Sebenza has such a great look - it's just the middle awkward phase that I don't like. A small scratch here, snail trail there - they all seem to standout. You basically went straight to the cool worn look.
