The wife and I had this past week off, as did a friend that flew in to spend a couple of days with us. We spent a couple days at our camp, fishing, and a day on the bay, snorkeling. The rest of the time was at the beach or at our house in town. I thought I would share a few of the outdoor pics.

We spotted this rattler swimming. Very pretty snake, nice vivid markings, and quite the swimmer.

While watching this gator, this lucky ducky just cruised right by all of us.

We managed enough fish and scallops for a fish fry before we left the camp and came back to town, even invited some of the neighbors. All in all I think he enjoyed a "Real Florida" vacation. We did have to hit the beach before he left, though.

Seeing an Eastern Diamondback in habitat just floating along like that! YOU ARE LUCKY!! I was supposed to go to Parris Island to catch and help do some telemtry on EDBs last weekend, but I had to pull out and focus on unpacking. Great pics fish!!!! scallops, oh my! That little gator is just asking to be grabbed.

Rather it be a rattler than a water moccasin... the emerald coast has lots of those. That's a beauty of a snake. Nice photography allaround. Almost makes Florida look pleasant ;)

I thought you might like that, Joe. Have you ever seen these little rascals before? I was told they are Mediterranean Geckos, but I'm not sure. I found nine last night. They are totally nocturnal, and aggressive hunters.

They sure are, when I was going through selection in Texas I had one in my room for about two weeks. Finally caught the sucker, kept him in an empty protein jug with a 5 dollar lamp and called him Scooter. They like to sit under house lights cuz they're warm and it's a relatively safe spot.
