Cold Blue O1 For Finish

after stock removal,sanding,cleaning and getting the blade ready for handles,
will o1 tool steel take a cold blue finish? and if it will,does the finish help
protect against rust,tarnish, etc.? how long will it last?

Yes but it might be better to produce a 'patina' with acid such as vinegar, mustard etc . Do a search on that ,it's been discussed before.It can still rust so keep it clean and dry.
